Neutrify is an App and a chrome extension on Instacart that empowers users to understand their carbon footprint, based on what customers have in their shopping cart we determine how many CO2 emissions they will be producing, and offer ways in which we can help offset their purchase. We also suggest alternative meat sources like fish or Beyond Meat that they can buy instead to have a smaller carbon footprint while enjoying more nutritional benefits.

Since adding Neutrify to app store, the response from customers has been extremely positive, demonstrated by a 38% lift in average order size (comparing sales from the six months prior to implementing Neutrify to the six months after). “Customers love seeing our message about offsetting with Neutrify at checkout, at Neutrify we are able to help explain to customers what it is and how it works, and in turn customers appreciate that we go an extra step to make sure we can offer our furniture with the lowest possible carbon footprint.”

What is the procedure for logging onto Neutrify?
Neitrify is available for download on the App Store and the Google Play Store. After downloading the app, you may sign in with your Google account, Facebook account, or even your email address. You'll then be directed to Neutrify’s carbon footprint calculator, and, after you answer a few questions, you can’t start reducing your footprint by completing Neutrify’s challenges!
Our goal for this project was to design a redesign solution that gives users a glimpse of what exactly the app does.

when you on instacart on your chrome extension you can install it just like a Grammarly and it integrates automatically and you can proceed with your order when you click on foods that when the pop up shows up carbon emission showing the additive and calories count.
